Ranking

The European Tchoukball Ranking is determined based on two main factors:

  1. Number of Teams in Each National Championship
    • Each European country’s national championship contributes to the ranking according to the number of teams actively participating. Generally, the more teams a country has in its national league, the more points it can earn toward the overall European ranking.
  2. Results of the Last Three Editions of the European Winners’ Cup (EWC)
    • The performance of each country’s club teams in the most recent three editions of the EWC also plays a significant role. Teams accumulate points based on their final placement in each of these tournaments.
    • Points from the latest edition often carry slightly more weight, reflecting each club’s current level of performance.
    • By considering results over three consecutive EWCs, the ranking remains balanced between consistent performance and recent achievements.

These two factors—domestic participation and international success—are combined to produce the overall European Tchoukball Ranking, which is updated after each edition of the EWC. This ranking influences seeding at events, qualification opportunities for clubs, and helps promote the ongoing development of tchoukball across Europe.
